Helping Kids To Make Jobs An Option (Not a Necessity)

This mom has a huge smile on her face right now. My 11 year old daughter made her first sale online yesterday AND she is unveiling her blog today to the public –> AnisaSellsYourStuff.com . Her blog is essentially the story of her first business. She is sharing her adventures as well as providing helpful tips (her lessons learned) for other kids who want to start a business.

One of the things you may not know about me is that I have a real passion for working with young people when it comes to helping them figure out how money works and encouraging entrepreneurship as soon as possible. On the first Saturday of each month, I lead a Financially Fit workshop for preteens and teens at our church. During Spring Break last month, I had the honor of teaching two days of the Billionaire’s Club (an initiative started by a friend of mine) and taught 10-13 year olds on stewardship and entrepreneurship. Often times network marketing (or multi-level marketing) gets a bad reputation.

“It’s a pyramid scheme!”

“It’s a scam!”

“You only can make money if you’re at the top!”

I’ve heard it all (plus some) during my own past experiences actively growing a network marketing business, and in most cases, it’s a bunch of garbage. Network marketing is an excellent and legitimate way to generate additional income — as a part-time side hustle or even full-time (I personally know many highly successful full-time professional network marketers).

Network marketing integrates 3 powerful components:

leverage (both time and money by growing a team of distributors)
residual income (each individual transaction can lead to months/years of recurring income)
geometric growth through duplication (similar to the power of compounding interest)

Maybe it’s for you, and maybe it’s not…but I can guarantee you that if you say it won’t work, then you’ll be right!

Accountability Partnerships: Your Secret Weapon To Success

An accountability partnership is partnership where two (or more) people work cooperatively to keep each other on course towards achieving life goals. Those goals could be business/career related, personal, or both!

It was 3 years ago when one of my best friends and I decided to be accountability partners. We were both side hustling while working high-paying but unfulfilling full-time corporate jobs. We wanted more for ourselves and our families and figured we’d make better and faster progress by holding each other accountable to achieve the things we desire….not just with our businesses, but with life overall. We were right.
